I saw Mr Khan for a consultation and he was very succinct and clear. He offered good explanations and made it clear where he needed more information in order to provide better explanations. He performed tests, diagnosed my condition and offered multiple routes and solutions. I have a much clearer idea of my condition and what I am going to do next. What happens next is up to me!

I am really happy with Mr A Khan, who just over four years ago operated on my lumbar Spine due to having Spondylolisthesis, which is extremely painful. The last time I was Well Enough to see Mr Khan I was informed that the screws in my spine L4-L5 have come rather lose. Mr Khan said he would speak to a colleague of his Dr Black, and for me to return to the hospital in 8 weeks. Unfortunately , due to my having Debilitating Fibromyalgia on top of the constant pain in my lumbar spine, I wasn’t well enough to attend this appointment. I did actually send a letter of apology to Mr Khan about this matter. Now it’s Wednesday 11th of September 2019 and I am waiting to see Mr A Khan again, after contacting my GP surgery for a re referral on Thursday 29th August 2019, after being informed by staff who make the appointments at the LGI that Mr A Khan has put me back in touch with my own GP, because I made an appointment for June this year to see him, but I didn’t attend the appointment . Why? You ask . Because I was TOO POORLY to even get out of bed due to the DEBILITATING PAIN from having Fibromyalgia as well as the constant lumbar back pain. I just could NOT move out of bed. Thanks to having this Fibromyalgia, you don’t know how you are going to be from one day to the next. If you have just one good day, the remaining 6 days are spent recovering. Initially, I was given a hospital appointment for the 4th Feb 2019. This was “Cancelled” due to unforeseen circumstances. I was then given an appointment for the 7th May 2019. Again, this was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. So, I used my initiative and phoned Mr Khans’ secretary, who was not available to speak to. So, I spoke to a young man and asked him what were the unforeseen circumstances , as to why Mr Khan couldn’t see me? The reply I received was that Me Khan was “ On Call”. I then said that Surely his Secretary would know about this in advance, before “ SHE” gave me the above mentioned dates to see Mr Khan, which were later cancelled. Yet, if I am Too Poorly to even attend the appointment that I secured with his staff, I am referred back to my GP to make another appointment to see Mr A Khan. So, now the Triage nurse at my doctors surgery has arranged for a re referral to return to the LGI . I find myself still waiting for an appointment to see Mr Khan nearly two weeks on from Thursday 29th August 2019 when I spoke to the triage nurse. The pains in my Lumbar Spine, both sides of my groin, my legs and my feet are getting much worse . So much so that I hardly have the energy to move. It takes me a good 5 minutes to even get down my stairs. I hardly go out because I just haven’t got the strength. I try and do the simplest of tasks and I feel as though I’ve climbed Mount Kilimanjaro . This is how bad my life has become. I am extremely depressed, because I miss the person I used to be. The amount of pain killers I take are not even helping any more. Now, because I’ve been up most of the night due to pains in my whole body and not being able to sleep, I’m going to get up and gradually make my way downstairs . Thank you

I was referred to Mr Khan following some treatment with a pain management specialist who had advised no further injections would help my lower back pain & sciatica, I was currently unable to return to my line of work at this time due to my back condition. Mr Khan took time to listen to my concerns & arranged a more detailed diagnosis of my condition through further imaging & spent time to fully explain the issues with my spine. Further injections were then offered & I had a very successful response to this treatment enabling me to return to work. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Khan.
